Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

In short: NoteHero does not collect your data. There is no account, no advertising, no tracking, and your notebooks are never uploaded to any server. Everything you write stays on your device.

1. Your notebooks and content

Notebooks, pages, ink, shapes, and the images and PDFs you insert are stored in the app's storage on your iPad (or Mac).
We have no copy of them and cannot read them.
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, the app's data may be included in that backup. Backups are managed by Apple, according to your settings.
Deleting the app deletes the notebooks on the device. Export a .mnb file or a PDF to keep them.

2. Free trial and purchases

Yearly and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your card details, name or Apple ID.
To count the 14-day trial, the app saves the trial start date in the device's Keychain. It stays on the device and is not sent anywhere.
The app reads the status of your purchases from the App Store on the device to know whether you have a license.

3. Device permissions

Camera: used only when you choose Take Photo to insert a picture into a page.
Photos: used only when you pick a photo to insert, or save an exported image to your Photos library.
Photos you take or pick stay in your notebook. You can turn these permissions off at any time in your iPad's Settings.

4. When you share

When you export a PDF, PNG or .mnb file and send it by Mail, AirDrop, Files, a chat app or print it, the file goes straight to the place you chose. From there it is subject to that service's policy. NoteHero keeps no copy.

5. Feedback and contact

The Send feedback button in the app opens a Google Forms form. Whatever you choose to enter there is stored by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.
When you email us or message us on Facebook, we receive what you send, along with your email address or account.
We use this only to reply to you and to improve the app. We never sell or share it. Email us if you want it deleted.

6. Children

NoteHero can be used by students. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If NoteHero ever starts collecting any data, we will say so clearly in the app first.
